Prof Joel Palefsky
Joel Palefsky, M.D., C.M., F.R.C.P.(C).  Professor of Medicine and Infectious Diseases at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine.   He is an internationally recognized expert on the molecular biology, treatment, pathogenesis and natural history of anogenital human papillomavirus infections, particularly in the setting of HIV infection. He is the director of the world's first clinic devoted to prevention of anal cancer, the Anal Neoplasia Clinic Research and Education Center at the UCSF Cancer Center.  He is the chair of the ANCHOR Study. He is founder and past president of the International Anal Neoplasia Society.
A/Prof Richard Hillman
Richard Hillman runs the Dysplasia and Anal Cancer Services at St Vincent's Hospital, Sydney, where the SPANC study and Gardasil trials were held. He is President of the International Anal Neoplasia Society and led the development of the international guidelines for the practice of HRA and DARE.
Adrian Ogier
Adrian Ogier is the Deputy Director of NAPWHA – the National Association of People With HIV Australia. He has lived with HIV since the early nineties and worked in the sector since before then: originally developing campaigns and messaging, then in peer support, training, as the editor of NAPWHA’s flagship magazine Positive Living, and the manager of media and health promotion.
Prof Andrew Carr
Professor Andrew Carr is a clinical immunologist and immunopathologist, and Head of the HIV and Immunology Unit and of the Clinical Research Program, Centre for Applied Medical Research, St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney. He has authored more than 350 peer-reviewed publications, mostly on antiretroviral complications and comorbidities.
Dr James McMahon
A/Prof McMahon is an Infectious Diseases clinician researcher, Head of Infectious Diseases Clinical Research at the Alfred Hospital and also an ID physician at Monash Medical Centre. His research interests are in clinical trials focused on HIV Cure, HIV treatment and COVID-19.
For ASHM he sits on the Board and chairs the Antiretroviral Guidelines Committee, he also sits on the Treatment & Chemoprophylaxis Panel for the National COVID-19 Clinical Evidence Taskforce.
Dr Heather McNamee
Heather McNamee completed GP and family planning training in Edinburgh in 1996 before immigrating to Australia. She became an HIV s100 prescriber in 2007.
Heather currently works as a Visiting Medical Officer at Cairns Sexual Health Service, a GP at headspace Cairns and a tele-abortion provider.
Dr Philip Read
Phillip is a sexual health physician, Director of the Kirketon Road Centre, and Director of Sexual Health and Blood Borne Viruses in South Eastern Sydney. He is also a conjoint associate professor at the Kirby Institute, UNSW.
Dr Fiona Bisshop
Fiona Bisshop is a University of Queensland Medical School graduate and a Fellow of the RACGP. She also has an honours degree in microbiology. She is an S100 GP who has worked in HIV care since 2001. She has a long history of providing gender affirming healthcare to a large cohort of trans and gender diverse people, and has been involved in several workshops and educational seminars on trans health.
Fiona is on the ASHM Treatment Guidelines Committee and is current President of AusPATH, the Australian Professional Association for Trans Health.
Dr David Griffin
David works as an Infectious Diseases Physician at the Alfred Hospital, where he is actively involved in the COVID-19 response, as the COVID Clinical Services lead. He also remains involved in the care of people living with HIV in an ambulatory and inpatient setting, in the Victorian HIV service.
